Are you considering renting a dumpster for your junk removal or demolition clean up process? Well there are a few things that you should know about and consider before scheduling such service. There are many different sizes and each type of dumpster is only used for certain amounts of trash. You cannot use the smaller 3 yard dumpsters for things such as construction and heavy duty materials. There might be a few companies that have these dumpsters for demolition junk but they might charge you an arm and a leg since it is a difficult process to dump such construction materials.
A 10 yard dumpster is very short and low but it is used mainly for construction materials, dirt and concrete. As stated, these are 16 ft long, 8 ft wide and 2 ft high. So when you get construction material into a lowboy you should make sure that it does not go over the top of the container. These containers sometimes have weight limits by the ton as well so that is something to consider.
Your medium containers such as the 20 and 25 yard are basically used for everything. Construction materials, junk materials, house clean outs etc. These have greater us and are large enough that you can use and probably not fill up as easily.
The largest is the 40 yard and this one is also used for many various trashes and dumping items. This is the largest container you may have and is basically used for heavy duty use.
